Implementasi Manajemen Strategik Dalam Meningkatkan Mutu Pendidikan SMA Di Kecamatan Janapria

Abstract

Strategic management has an important role in improving the quality of education. This study
aims to: 1) To find out how to implement strategic management in improving the quality of high
school education in the Janapria sub-district for the 2020/2021 academic year. 2) To describe
the implications of strategic management for improving the quality of high school education in
Janapria District for the 2020/2021 academic year. This research is a research with a
qualitative approach. The location of this research is SMAN 1 Janapria and SMA NW Pendem,
Central Lombok. Data was collected through observation data collection, in-depth interviews,
and documentation, while data analysis used the Milles & Huberman technique, namely; data
collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions, as for testing the validity
of the data, namely: credibility, transferability, dependence, and certainty. The results of this study show 1) The strategic planning of SMAN 1 Janapria and SMA NW Pendem includes four
activities, namely the development of vision, mission, and goals, short, medium and long term
planning, identification of internal and external factors, and strategy formulation, 2)
Implementation of strategic management in SMAN 1 Janapria and SMA NW Pendem include
four activities, namely determining school policies, motivating educators and education staff,
allocating human resources, and developing a strategic culture.
