TINJAUAN HUKUM ISLAM TERHADAP PROSES PELAKSANAAN ADAT PERKAWINAN DI DESA PEJANGGIK KABUPATEN LOMBOK TENGAH

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the Islamic law on the for the implementation of marriage customs in Pejanggik Village. The research method used is a qualitative approach. The data were analyzed using descriptive philosophical analysis. The results of the study can show that Islam views that the customary marriage procedures in Pejanggik Village contain two elements of assessment, namely an assessment of positive elements and an assessment of negative elements. First, the assessment of positive elements, namely: (a) The marriage contract is carried out according to the provisions of Islamic teachings, (b) The purpose and wisdom of marriage according to custom do not differ from the goals and wisdom contained in Islam, (c) Marriage is carried out on the basis of consensual, there is no coercion. (d) Giving dowry (dowry) according to the level of ability of men so that they do not conflict with Islamic teachings. (e) Hold a walimah after the marriage contract according to their capabilities.
